The original Mt. Culmen E.C. Church was established in 1862 by circuit riders from Reading, Pennsylvania. In 1960 the church relocated and the building was renovated into a private dwelling. In 2006, it burned down, and restoration of the church began later that year with the stone exterior as the starting block.
Now “Sleeping in Church” is required!

The sanctuary is now a confortable living room and completely furnished kitchen. With quaint Colonial Williamsburg decor featured through out the house, the master bedroom features a queen bed, hand braided rug, and a private bath, adjacent to a cozy private sitting room.

The original church doors were discovered during clean up from the fire and installed at their original location. The stone threshold was moved to the current main entrance. The solid stone walls offer peace and solitude.
